Bihar Cabinet has given its consent to start Mukhya Mantri Vyavasayik Pathyakram Margdarshan Aur Utpreran Kendra at Chanakya National Law University, Patna in the Month of April, 2022 on the request of Chanakya National Law University, Patna. Under this programme candidates of Backward Classes (BC) and Extremely Backward Classes (EBC) of Bihar would get the facility to prepare for Bihar Judicial Service Examinations. This Law relating programme has been started by the Govt. of Bihar for the first time and happy to inform that Chanakya National Law University, Patna has been chosen by the Dept. of Backward Class and Extremely Backward Class of the Bihar Govt. This programme will be fully financed by Bihar State Backward Classes Finance and Development Corporation. This is the dream project of Hon’ble Chief Minister of Bihar Sri Nitish Kumar Ji. When Sri Nitish Kumar Ji came for inauguration of the CNLU building in 2010 then he wished that CNLU should take the lead into this pioneer work for the benefit of the marginalized sections of our society. He was of the opinion that education is only the panacea for putting the marginalized section into the mainstream of the society.
60 students would be chosen for the preparation of Law Admission Test and 60 students also for Judicial Examinations in each batch. Chanakya National Law University is going to start coaching classes for Judicial Examinations within a month. 40% i.e. 24 seats will be reserved for the students of Backward Category (BC) and 60% i.e. 36 seats will be reserved for the students of Extremely Backward Category (EBC). For admission in the above mentioned courses BC and EBC Categories Certificate must be issued by the competent authority of Govt. of Bihar. Income Certificate of not more than Rs. 3,00,000/- (Three Lakh) per annum of candidate including the income of Parents/Guardians shall be issued by the competent authority of Bihar. The candidates who will apply must fulfill minimum qualification as determined by Bihar Public Service Commission. The selection will be made on the basis of rank obtained in the written examination of 100 marks. Library facilities will be provided to these students. Chanakya National Law University will take admission of these categories students also for the preparation of admission in National Law Universities, Central Universities and for other Law Colleges/Universities in near future.
